Outer Banks--Take 2

The weekend of August 20th, we were supposed to go to West Virginia for the Crawford family reunion.  We were all packed, ready to go when our trip got cancelled at the last minute because my mom was sick.  We were bummed but what could we do....except post on Facebook about it.  Roy's aunt Candy responded that we should come on down to the Outer Banks, since that was there week at their timeshare.  Yay for Candy and Felipe....they saved our weekend for us, in no time our plans were made and on that Friday morning we headed down to the Outer Banks for the weekend!

We got down there on Friday mid-morning and headed out to the waterfront area of Manteo.  We walked around some of the shops down there, then headed back to the timeshare to relax for a bit.  That evening we had pizza and then walked down to the beach so we could dip the baby's toes in the water...he was not a fan of that at all!  He was also not a fan of having his feet in the sand either!  Poor little guy!

Saturday we went to the aquarium, then went back to hang out at the timeshare, and later in the evening we went out for ice cream.

Sunday morning we woke up to storms!  Thankfully they passed before we had to load up the car for the ride home.  It was such a nice little weekend away, and we are so thankfully for Candy and Felipe having us down there and helping to save our weekend!!

A few, or alot, of picutres from the weekend...

A few weeks ago, Megan gave us a little hat for the baby, and of course I forgot it.  So when we were walking around in the sun, Felipe volunteered his hat for the baby to wear...

Aunt Candy took pity on my poor baby and bought him a hat

This is what he does all the time....drool...he's a total drool monster right now

Aunt Candy bought Roy a hat too
